Religious School Teacher

If you fit this description, you may be what we are looking for to complete our stellar group of educators at Kol Tikvah Temple in Woodland Hills.
Compensation is based upon experience, is paid twice each month and includes 10 additional hours for staff meetings, orientation, and administrative tasks.You must be fingerprinted and CPR trained or available for summer training. The school year begins in late August, 2024 and concludes in early June , 2025. We take off for secular school breaks and Jewish and secular holidays. Orientation and classroom preparation begin one week prior to the first day of class.
Job details:
Be onsite to teach a Judaica class for two and one half hours for either or both on every Sunday morning (9:00am-11:30am) or Tuesdays evenings (5:30pm-8:00pm).
Prepare weekly lesson plans based on a provided curricular outline.
Compose brief weekly emails to class parents outlining what was taught each class session.
Attend orientation and security training, quarterly staff meetings/professional development sessions and at least one holiday themed Shabbat service.
Prepare progress assessments at the end of winter session and at end of the school year.
